Information on multiplayer games can be found on the General Game Instructions page.
Whether a trump card can be traded or not can be determined in the game settings. If it is activated, a player who holds the 7 card in the trump suit can be traded for the 10, 11, 12, 1 or 3 trump card at the bottom of the pile, whilst the 2 card in the trump suit may be can be traded for the 4, 5, 6 or 7 trump card.
During the game you see your own cards spread out on the table in front of you. By clicking/double clicking on a card, you can play the card to the trick. A yellow arrow shows which whose turn it is. A red exclamation mark means that it is your turn.
Rules
Brisca/Briscola is a card game for 2 to 4 players. Two teams are formed for 4 player games. Players are dealt 3 cards at the beginning of each game. The rest of the cards are placed face-down on a pile. The uppermost card is then turned over and placed under the pile in such a way that half of it remains visible. This card determines the trump suit.
The object of the game is to win as many points as possible by taking tricks. The values of the cards in a trick should of course be as high as possible. The player who first reaches 61 points is declared the winner. The player to the dealer’s right opens the game. The winner of one round always opens the next by playing a card. You can play any card you wish. Players are not obliged to follow suit.
Once all cards have been played, the player with the highest card wins the trick. A Trump card automatically wins the trick. If more than one Trump card is played, the Trump card with the highest value wins. The player who won the trick may then first draw a card for the next round. The other players may then draw cards counter-clockwise. In the last round the last player then draws the trump card placed face-up at the bottom of the pile.
If a player holds a 2 or 7 card in the trump suit, they may trade this for the trump card showing under the pile of cards.
The winner of the game is the player who wins the round. A new round will commence if a round is undecided.
