Zuminga: Instructions
How to play
The canon can be directed by moving the mouse. Fire a ball by clicking the left mouse button.
Should a gap be left by the balls that have disappeared, the front part of the chain shall remain still until the back end catches up. After a short pause, the ends will automatically join together.
HINT: You may use the temporary gaps to your advantage, as you can reach the outer parts of the track with the canon.
Rules
Zuminga is a two-player game, whereby the players play against each other. At the start of the game, both players see an identical empty track, which leads to a hole. The route of this track changes every game. Coloured balls enter the playing field, rolling along the track towards the hole. It is the player’s job to prevent the balls from falling into the hole.
In order to remove the balls from the playing field, the player must use the canon situated in the centre of the screen. With this canon, further coloured balls can be fired into the chain. The aim is to build chains of at least 3 balls of the same colour. Once a third ball comes into contact with at least two others of the same colour, all of the balls disappear. Should the player not manage to form a chain of at least 3 balls of the same colour, the ball he/she fired will simply join the chain and continue rolling with the other balls.
Chain reactions can be caused. These can occur by removing 3 or more balls from the playing field by firing a coloured ball into the chain. This will leave a gap in the chain. It may so happen that the balls either side of the gap are the same colour. When they come together another 3-ball chain is formed, which, in turn, disappears. Because of chain reactions, players require only one shot to dispatch multiple balls simultaneously.
The objective of the game is to prevent the balls from falling down the hole by removing the balls using the canon. The game ends when there are no more balls in the playing field, or a ball has fallen into the hole.
Points
The player receives 10 points for every ball removed from the playing field. Should the player create a chain of 3 balls of the same colour, for example, he/she receives 30 points.
15 points are deducted for every coloured ball fired with the canon.
Players do not receive any bonus points for chain reactions.
Players do not receive any bonus points for chain reactions.
Should a player manage to remove all of the balls from the playing field, he/she receives additional bonus points. The value of this bonus is a multiple of 5 and depends on the position of the last ball as it is disappears.

If a gap doesn't reconnect automatically, shoot a ball of the same colour at one end of the gap. Make sure that the colour of the ball must be the same as the one at the other end of the gap. This will cause a chain reaction. Because of chain reactions, players require only one shot to dispatch multiple balls simultaneously.

To increase the hit rate place the cursor exactly on the balls you would like to hit.
If there is a gap use the opportunity to shoot into the outer parts of the track. The gap will only be reconnected automatically if there are balls of the same colour at both ends of the gap.
